Day 014: Complementary colours
Today we are exploring complementary colours. Have you noticed that red looks brighter next to green, or blue kind of more intensive next to blue colour? How about purple and yellow, how they match and feel? Today we are testing out how complementary colours are strengthening the colour effects. Today we are aiming to make a little two or even a bit 3 dimensional work to be put up on the best location.
1. Choose your favourite complementary colours.
2. Could you make a very abstract face for example to decorate your wall?
3. You would need some coloured paper for this but it is also highly recommended to paint surfaces with the complementary colours and after that use them in the activity.
4. Let’s draw the shapes on the paper. Take a look at our example. Maybe you can use it as inspiration?
5. Let’s find the scissor and do some cutting.
6. Let’s tape or clue the pieces on the paper. Maybe you would like to make it a bit 3 dimensional? Check out our example. First you need to fold the two edges and tape it behind the background paper.
7. We are getting ready! Where would you find the best spot for your happy piece of art? Please do not hesitate to share it with us #bobolafi
Have a happy day!
Dear followers we want to remind you that parents assume all responsibility for the safety of their children in these activities.
